Fertility Nursing and Healthcare with Monica Moore: Ep 21

Get ready for yet another Mastering Nursing episode! On this show, Nurse Keith was joined by a brilliant nursepreneur, Monica Moore! Together, Monica and Keith explored a number of topics as they relate to fertility nursing and healthcare.

Monica started her NP career in REI (reproductive endocrinology and infertility) over 20 years ago by accident. Over time, she segued into the role of nurse manager, but found that her passion is truly in nurse education. With this in mind, she started a nurse education and consulting company called Fertile Health where she travels the U.S. educating REI nurses, then supports them remotely.

Her newest venture is partnering with another nurse educator to start a monthly electronic newsletter called The Fertility Nurse Newsletter (#fertilitynursenewsletter) which provides valuable content for nurses.

Opening a Home Care Agency with Elais Ponton: Ep 18

She has worked as a Registered Nurse in high acuity hospital settings, hospice, as well with home care populations focusing on mental and public health. As Chief Nursing Officer, Elais is co-owner and co-founder of Nurses With Heart Home Care, providing medical and non-medical care to individuals living in their homes in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Welcome to a new episode of Mastering Nursing! This week, we are talking about a very important topic… success on the NCLEX. Our guest, who had a ton of insight to share on this, is Damion Jenkins.

Damion Jenkins is a nurse educator, mentor, tutor, blogger, content writer, and nurse entrepreneur. Damion is the founder and operator of The Nurse Speak, which is a boutique nursing education and consulting company that specializes in creating individualized consulting, mentoring, tutoring, and writing services. Damion’s passion for improving the nursing profession has led him to pursue a career in nursing education, where he helps nursing students, new graduate nurses, and professional nurses alike develop strategies for success.

Damion graduated from an associate degree nursing program in spring of 2010, and just six months removed from school figured out that he wished to pursue earning a Master’s Degree specializing in Nursing Education. In the spring of 2014, his MSN program was completed. From there he became an active member of several nursing organizations including: Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Golden Key International Honour Society, The American Nurses Association (ANA), The National League for Nursing (NLN), and the Maryland Nurses Association (MNA). He’s also become a member of the National Nurses in Business Association (NNBA).
